Hello!

Nice to meet you, I’m Steph. My sewing journey began back in 2008, when I grew tired of shopping in the kids department to find clothes that fit my 5’2” height. When I began sewing lessons, I found I was still altering commercial patterns to fit my petite frame. What was meant to be a 5 week sewing course turned into 3 years of studying Dressmaking and Patternmaking. Finally I had found a way to make clothes that fit me perfectly!

After graduating I spent 5 years working as a Bridal and Formalwear Dressmaker creating gowns for clients, and taught Dressmaking at the same school I once attended.

Since then I have been designing and making my own wardrobe, with lots of experiments (some successful and some not so!) along the way. I’m always asked what patterns I use and where can they be purchased. Until the end of 2022 I didn’t realise the possibilities of grading my own designs. But I’m so excited to learn this new skill, and in time I hope to share more of my patterns with you.
