Hello!

Nice to meet you, I’m Steph. A 5’2” dressmaker and pattern maker from Australia.

My sewing journey began back in 2008, when I grew tired of shopping in the kids department to find clothes that me. When I began sewing lessons, I was still needing to shrink commercial patterns to fit. What was meant to be a 5 week alterations course turned into 3 years of studying Dressmaking and Patternmaking. Finally I had found a way to make clothes that fit me perfectly!

My passion is creating designs that I love to wear myself. As I have quite a “pencil” like frame I place emphasis on creating the illusion of curves with the help of puff sleeves, adding volume to my hips with pleats or gathering, and cinching in the waistline. I also have short legs so I tend to wear high waisted skirt designs to create the illusion of longer legs. I hope my designs will resonate with you so you too can create bold and stylish handmade clothes for your wardrobe!
